If you are still wondering whether Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will get you hooked on a feeling, then you need to worry no longer. Over the last week, various press sites and film critics have had a chance to share their thoughts on the much-anticipated sequel. Over on Rotten Tomatoes, the aggregate site has collected a slew of professional reviews to score whether Marvel Studios has another hit on its hands. Given the film’s ‘Certified Fresh’ status, it looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will live up to everyone’s expectations.

Earlier today, the site confirmed the coveted title had been given to the Guardians movie. The ‘tomatometer’ gives the movie an 87% since 76 of the film’s 87 reviews were deemed fresh. As for fans, more than 50,000 viewers have said they are planning to see the movie.

In the grand scheme, the Guardians sequel does an admirable job at holding up to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s other features. The top-rated MCU film on Rotten Tomatoes is still Iron Man as the 2008 flick boasts a 94% rating. The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Captain America: Civil War follow behind it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
